What a day
I awoke very tired! when I got to work I did some work and decided to close the eyelids well during that 5min okay maybe 10min power nap the world turned against me, why I am not sure but it did. A new 5min quick as job came in and consumed the rest of the day! It was however interrupted by another job with a friday deadline being move forward to thursday. Yes this was written on a thursday I don't care what the blog date says *lol*. Well high winds hit Auckland and rain warnings went out will still await the worst of it, will it be as bad as they say? I was out doing the normal beer shop and when opening the boot of the car the wind picked up the boot and hit me in the chin oouuch! Traffic was shite on the way home, I left the trip till 8pm

I will argue with my blog this is FRIDAY night and I have finished my day job for the week and this is the time to relax. I have my favourite Beer Harringtons and the cricket and rugby is on the TV. Funny to have a summer sport and winter sport on at the same time. Well there is a storm on the way apparently I should prepare for power cuts wow laptop battery is all charge and cellphone/modem is ready and charge or do they mean candles torches and food oh well we will see. Found a good twitter app today twitbin addon for firefox how cool browse and twitter at the same time. Spent far too much time on the Avid forum today helping some people I hope it can be so tiresome helping sometimes with people having other ideas for a solution. Well as I said a storm is on the way 120km winds and 150mm rain in 24 hours power cuts and trees down. I think I will be safer at work this weekend as the 1920 bungalow won't be that secure in high winds. Well we will see what happens with the weather. Cricket is going well

Hello all
I have found myself addicted slightly to Twitter an amazing little tool where you follow people and they follow you. I sometimes wonder why people follow me? Oh well I won't panic about it.
Today was an interesting day took along time to get not alot done. I spent alot of time on the apra site and gee there website is out of the arch. It looks like someone took a 1970s database and made a front end for it rather than going "here is what we can do, make it easier to use and faster". I think it was made by a crazy programer! No wonder they miss out on so much royaltees

Friday night and lazy saturday
Well got home after a few work drinks and a work mate called to say he would be around in 20 mins for a beer and to borrow the water blaster. Yes it was time for some more Harrington'd Monsoon and at 5.6% and a 500ml bottle they have a bit of a kick. During our conversation a got a text from a child that I am god father to she was unhappy and lonely, it was turning into an interesting night so much to do. So after Oli had finish our chat and beers he got the water blaster and headed home. I got the phone and called Starzy she was upset and very lonely and asking "when can I come stay with you", "When can I come stay with you". So we sorted sometime with her dad and she was getting a bit happier, task well done I thought. I did mention I was god father before and I'm not sure of this title but it does seem as time goes on that I am becoming her saviour and I don't mean that in a big headed kind of way I mean it in a humble way. Shall I explain how my and Starzy relationship started it is a bloody long story but I will start with the short version and maybe one day expand. Okay I went out with her mum and moved them to Auckland to live with me, after being a bachelor for 12years I ended up with instant family and two kids 3 & 9 never really having had to look after kids before I thought gee what will I do and the funny thing was I just did what my dad did for me as a child and it worked. You give them your love and affection and they give it back. Yes by the way this is the short version. Well mum got a job in Fiji and I had the kids for 3months all on my own, during this time the kids got very close to my heart. There mum tried a stint in fiji with the kids but they wanted to be back in New Zealand with me, what a strange situation. So now Starz spend the school holdays with me. there the short version, so after talking to Starz I felt a little concerned so I skyped her mum and had a chat, this world is certainly weird.
Saturday morning I awoke at 10am feeling less than enthuiastic about the day so decided to have a very lazy day

First post
Okay there are days when you don't want to do stuff and today is one of those days. It is a Friday and it is hard to get going I'm exporting the weeks work through the server for archiving and it is not that much of a challenge. I also keep getting interrupted by email from a friend who is having a funny day at work being asked to do stuff she is not meant to do. Ah yes another interruption Friday couriers things have not arrived across the ditch in aussie, lets go track them well they are in the right towns and out for delivery. Well it is getting on in the day 3pm and the beer fridge is full I think I need to fix this quick will it be Emersons or Harringtons today? Pilsner, Rogue Hop or maybe Monsoon I will inform you of that later. Today is the day I normally shout lunch for the staff every Friday, but today a client offered and we had designer pizza.
Well I have returned from the beer buying mission and what a successful trip it was if I left 10mins earlier I would have been disappointed, but the courier had been and I got a box of Harringtons Monsoon and a box of Harringtons Rogue Hop. Which are now safely in the fridge chillin'.
More soon after the monsoon
